Kitchen Assistant Korean Restaurant

We are a casual Authentic Korean restaurant located in the Choa Chu Kang / Yew Tee area, and we are building a brand-new team! We are looking for a dedicated, quick-learning Kitchen Assistant who is eager to pick up new skills fast. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our prep work—keeping stations clean, prepping ingredients efficiently, and helping our daily kitchen workflows run seamlessly. If you have a willing attitude and love a fast-paced environment, you'll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the team with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping ingredients, and assembling components for Korean dishes.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food supplies in refrigerators and storerooms following food safety guidelines.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and organizing daily deliveries of kitchen inventory and supplies.
• Support general kitchen upkeep, waste disposal, and adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
• Perform other ad-hoc kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

• Highly willing and quick to learn, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and vibrant restaurant environment.
• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or F&B setting is an advantage, but enthusiastic candidates with the right attitude are welcome to apply.
• Possess a valid WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
• Physically fit and comfortable with standing for long periods and handling basic kitchen lifting tasks.
• Comfortable working on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per operational schedules.
• A strong, positive team player with great attention to cleanliness and detail.
