Job Description - Kitchen Manager

Hiring for New Chick-fil-A Location!

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager for our new Fast Food Restaurant. Candidate must be good at motivating a team, ensuring standards of excellence and have at least 2 years of Fast Food leadership or training experience.

Job Scope includes the following:
1. Reports directly to the Director of Operations and executes daily operational objectives.
2. Support Chick-fil-A's New Location's strategy to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
3. Always ensure full implementation of Food Safety requirements.
4. Perform daily truck/supply ordering; monitor and alert on shortages.
5. Receive and store inventory per Receiving Quality Standards
6. Inspect the prior shift’s operations for quality and resolve any issues.
7. Coordinate with the Scheduling Team to ensure proper staffing for shifts.
8. Assist Talent Team with recruiting top kitchen talent.
9. Coach the team through SOP training and certification
10. Ensure key production supplies (e.g., thawed chicken, buns, produce) are available.
11. Communicate essential hand-off details to the next shift.
12. Produce and file daily shift setup, break tracking, and assignment sheets.
13. Complete and submit daily shift performance reports accurately.
14. Drive smooth and effective operations to meet Customer Satisfaction targets.
15. Set and pursue shift-specific Customer Satisfaction goals: Taste, Speed, Temperature,Accuracy, Cleanliness.
16. Adhere to food cost goals by minimizing waste and inefficiencies.
17. Manage labour costs through scheduling and productivity oversight.
18. Ensure compliance with SFA, workplace safety and labor regulations.
19. Uphold proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
20. Perform basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.
21. Foster FOH–BOH collaboration for holistic business success
22. Ensure all cleaning and operational tasks are completed in Jolt or assigned systems.
23. Document and escalate shift challenges, needs, and wins.
24. Maintain a safe environment, manage access, and respond to emergencies.
25. Keep the trash areas clean
26. Lead continuous improvement using LEAN or Kaizen principles.
27. Be available to address urgent operational needs as required.
28. Train team on Operational Requirement Guide, SOPs
29. Complete Daily Safe Critical checklists
30. Provide training across all BOH stations and hold the team accountable.
31. Ensure the timely completion of all BOH checklists and reports.32. Perform all responsibilities expected of a BOH team member
33. Any other tasks that might be assigned as the business grows
