Job Summary

You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock the preparation station and kitchen to ensure readiness for daily operations
• Prepare simple dish components by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and making sauces according to menu requirements
• Follow instructions and report progress to the executive chef to maintain workflow and quality standards
• Maintain food preparation and storage areas to comply with health and safety regulations
• Manage inventory and supplies to support continuous kitchen operations
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen functioning
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet service demands efficiently
• Collaborate cooperatively with team members to achieve operational goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Certificate in culinary arts or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar food preparation role
• Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
