Job Title: Local Cuisine Cook (Central)
Job Location: Clarke Quay

The Opportunity:

• Stable cooking role in a boutique hotel environment
• Suitable for candidates with hands-on local cooking experience
• No formal chef certification required
• Good fit for candidates who can prepare simple, homestyle local dishes independently

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook local Singapore-style dishes according to daily requirements
• Handle basic food preparation such as cutting, washing, portioning and ingredient preparation
• Prepare simple meals, staff meals or guest-related food items where required
• Ensure food is cooked properly, consistently and in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking area and equipment
• Ensure ingredients are stored properly and handled safely
• Monitor basic stock levels and inform management when ingredients need replenishment
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and washing duties where required
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements

Job Requirements:

• Candidates with experience cooking local dishes such as fried rice, noodles, soups, vegetables, meat dishes hawker-style dishes or similar kitchen work
• No formal culinary certification required
• Suitable for mature candidates with practical cooking experience
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food handling
• Able to work in a small kitchen / boutique hotel environment
