Job Description - On-Trade Sales Executive (Wine & Spirits)

The Straits Wine Company, established in 2006, is a leading wine importer, retailer, and distributor in Singapore. We partner with Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels, offering artisanal wines from passionate winemakers worldwide.

Job Summary

Singapore Straits Wine Company Pte. Ltd. seeks a motivated On-Trade Sales Executive to grow and manage hospitality industry accounts, driving sales growth across our wine and spirits portfolio.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with on-trade customers including restaurants, bars, hotels, clubs, and cafés to drive sales growth
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through strategic account management and negotiation
  • Negotiate product listings, pricing, promotional activities, and commercial agreements to maximize revenue
  • Prepare accurate quotations and promptly follow up on customer enquiries to support sales closure

Account Management

  • Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers such as business owners, F&B managers, purchasing managers, and sommeliers to enhance customer loyalty
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities
  • Monitor customer sales performance and recommend actionable strategies to increase revenue and market penetration
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of customer enquiries to maintain satisfaction

Product Promotion

  • Organize and support wine tastings, product launches, trade events, and promotional activities to increase brand visibility
  • Educate customers on wine characteristics, food pairing, and product knowledge to enhance product appreciation and sales
  • Promote the company’s wine portfolio to raise market awareness and customer engagement

Market & Operational Support

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery
  • Collaborate with purchasing and marketing teams to support sales initiatives and campaigns
  • Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate customer records for performance tracking and decision-making

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in wine, spirits, beverage, or F&B industry
  • Existing network within restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés, or hospitality establishments
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
  • Valid Class 3 driving license (advantageous)
  • Passion for wine and spirits
