Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Food Services Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence, food safety compliance and business performance.

The successful candidate will lead operational planning, manage outlet teams, monitor financial performance and implement continuous improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of one or more food and beverage outlets to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Develop and implement operational policies, standard operating procedures and service standards.
• Plan manpower deployment, work schedules and operational requirements.
• Lead, supervise, coach and evaluate outlet managers and operational staff.
• Monitor sales performance, operating costs, inventory levels and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with kitchen and service teams to maintain food quality and customer service standards.
• Manage procurement, inventory control and vendor relationships.
• Investigate customer feedback and implement corrective and preventive measures where necessary.
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, forecasts and performance analysis for management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation.
• Support new outlet openings, business expansion initiatives and operational projects when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant or food service operations, inventory management and operational planning.
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse operational performance and implement effective solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and point-of-sale or restaurant management systems.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays when operationally required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing multiple outlets is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Singapore food safety regulations and workplace safety requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and business performance management.
