Production Operator (Food Manufacturing / Cook-Chill)

Job Summary:

Hands-on operator to execute meal production, cooking, chilling, and packaging while ensuring food safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise meal assembly by portioning ingredients and assembling trays per recipes and build guides
• Operate preparation equipment (e.g., slicers, dicers, mixers) and handle tools safely with proper sanitation
• Monitor cooking processes, record time/temperature data, and follow batch recipes accurately
• Transfer cooked products promptly and support consistent batch production
• Operate blast/spiral chillers and ensure rapid cooling within required temperature standards
• Maintain cold chain integrity and record product temperatures throughout processing
• Run packaging machinery (denesters, fillers, sealers) and ensure label and date code accuracy
• Perform quality checks on packaging, weights, and product condition; report non-conformities
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene standards, and allergen control procedures
• Complete batch records and production documentation accurately
• Follow workplace safety procedures, including equipment use, lockout/tagout, and hazard reporting
• Conduct cleaning and sanitation tasks, including allergen changeover cleaning and 5S practices

Requirements

• Experience in F&B cooking or food manufacturing operations
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and recipes
• Basic math skills for measurements and production counts
• Mechanical aptitude to operate production equipment
• Familiarity with multitasking in fast-paced production environments
• Knowledge of cook-chill process flow is an added advantage
• Understanding of food safety practices and temperature control is an added advantage
• Knowledge of allergen handling and cross-contamination prevention is an added advantage
• Basic quality inspection skills are an added advantage
