R&D Chef

• Position: R&D Chef

• Location: Bedok

• Working hours: Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm), Alternate Saturday (9am - 1pm)

• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,200 + Performance Bonus + Staff Benefits

• Duration: Permanent

• Industry: F&B

Main Responsibilities:

• Research and develop new menu items, recipes, and food products

• Conduct food trials, testing, and product evaluations

• Standardize recipes and ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation

• Calculate food costs and optimize recipes to meet budget requirements

• Source and evaluate ingredients, suppliers, and food trends

• Work closely with Operations, Kitchen, and Management teams on product launches

• Ensure all products comply with food safety and hygiene standards

• Prepare recipe manuals, SOPs, and training materials

• Support seasonal promotions and special menu development

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of culinary, menu development, or kitchen R&D experience

• Prior experience in F&B, central kitchen, catering, restaurant, or food manufacturing environment will be an advantage

• Basic knowledge of food costing, ingredient sourcing, and food safety standards
