Retail Assistant - Harry Potter, Visions of Magic @ RWS

Job Purpose

The Retail Assistant is responsible for delivering an engaging guest experience within the attraction by providing excellent customer service, supporting retail and F&B operations, and ensuring smooth daily store operations in line with brand and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an immersive guest experience in line with brand standards and operational guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service and support sales and upselling activities.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and process transactions accurately, including cashless payments.
• Support retail operations including stock replenishment, inventory checks, tagging, pricing, and stockroom organisation.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items (e.g. Butterbeer and snacks) in compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Capture, process, and sell souvenir photographs (training provided).
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across retail floor, stockroom, and F&B areas.
• Assist with opening, closing, and basic end-of-day routines.
• Support team operations, including ad-hoc duties assigned by the Retail Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
• Experience in retail and/or F&B operations preferred.
• Basic POS and computer literacy.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (up to approx. 10–15kg).
• Team-oriented with a positive and responsible attitude.
