Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Sous Chef at Pasta Bar, SJS Group located in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific section within the kitchen, ensuring food quality and presentation, supervising junior kitchen staff, and assisting the Executive Chef in menu planning and development. The role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working schedule

  • 44 hours a week
  • 5 days work week / 2 days off
  • break time provided, including staff food
  • competitive salary based on experience

Signing on bonus

  • SG $500 bonus upon confirmation

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating
  • Experience in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of different cuisines and international cooking techniques
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and an eye for presentation
  • Food hygiene and safety certifications
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications
