Roles and Responsibilities
We are a Peranakan Cafe and as a Pastry Chef you are expected to work with our team to produce Nyonya kuehs, pies, dumplings...etc. You may be required to assits in the preperation of the culinary offering like tumis the rempeh, crack buah keluak nuts or prepare the broth for mee siam ...etc
As for fron of huse duties, you may need to serve customers, clear/clean tables and wash dishes.
1. Beverages – You are expected to serve coffee and tea. You will be taught to brew and serve speciality coffee.
2. Customer Service – You must be able to converse with customer and provide recommendations
3. Work Ethics – You are expected to be on time to start work and except job request that is reasonable and when necessary, like check stock, pack the storeroom, clean tables, chairs, clean items on display or any work needed for the efficient operation of the café. You must follow all PDPA guidelines and handle monetary transactions with integrity. You must be ready to work late when the situation at the café is busy.
You must be well-organized and adept at using productivity equipment such as MS excel, Words, PowerPoint or its equivalent but not limited to website, POS and phone camera...etc.
You are expected to take customer's orders, be accountable for service and accept the goal discussed, taking actions to achieve the agreed goals. You must enjoy working with people and serve customers in a helpful, courteous manner and have a neat personal appearance.
