Job Description - Restaurant Manager

Location: Bedok Reservoir Singapore

Job Type: Full-time

Experience Required: 3-5 years in restaurant management, preferably in Indian or Asian cuisine restaurants

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our authentic Indian restaurant in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine, excellent leadership skills, and a strong customer service orientation. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality dining experiences, managing staff, and maintaining the restaurant's profitability and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overall Management:

o Oversee all restaurant operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning

o Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness

o Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize restaurant profitability

o Ensure compliance with all relevant Singapore F&B regulations and health standards

2. Staff Management:

o Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff

o Create staff schedules and manage payroll

o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement

o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

3. Customer Service:

o Ensure exceptional customer experiences through high-quality service

o Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively

o Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty

4. Menu and Inventory Management:

o Collaborate with the head chef to develop and update menus

o Manage inventory, place orders with suppliers, and control stock levels

o Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and costs

5. Marketing and Promotion:

o Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers

o Manage the restaurant's social media presence and online reputation

o Plan and execute special events and promotions

6. Financial Management:

o Monitor and analyze sales data, prepare reports, and forecast future trends

o Identify areas for cost reduction and revenue improvement

o Ensure accurate cash handling and financial record-keeping

Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Indian or Asian cuisine establishments

2. Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and dining customs

3. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

4. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus

5. Solid understanding of restaurant financials, budgeting, and cost control

6. Experience with restaurant management software and POS systems

7. Familiarity with Singapore's F&B regulations and licensing requirements

8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

9. Proven track record in team management and staff development

10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field

2. Relevant certifications in food safety and restaurant management

3. Previous experience working in Singapore's F&B industry is highly advantageous
