Sous Chef for Japanese Kappo Restaurant

We are currently looking for a Sous Chef to deliver the best standards and create a wonderful experience to

the guests.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Knowledge in Japanese cuisine - serving Omakase courses
• Leads the whole kitchen team when the Executive Chef is not around
• Assists the Executive chef in organizing the kitchen operations
• Takes care of daily food preparation and duties to meet the standard and the quality set by the Executive Chef
• Coordinates daily tasks with the Executive Chef
• Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times
• Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards
• Follows good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature
• Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment
