Position: Dental Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time (Part-Time applicants may also be considered) 

Location: Oxley Dental Queenstown, 38 Margaret Drive

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
• Take and process dental X-rays (as permitted by applicable regulations).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Record and update patient information accurately in electronic dental records.
• Schedule appointments and assist with front office duties as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a dental office is preferred but motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
