Endoscopy Scrub Nurse (SN)

HMI Medical Centre (formerly known as StarMed Specialist Centre) is a one-stop day-surgery and multi-disciplinary medical centre that offers quality day procedure n diagnostic services at competitive private sector prices.

We are now looking for an Endoscopy Nurse to support the functions at our Endoscopy Centre.

The successful candidate will be performing the following duties, but not limited to:

• Assessment and admission of Endoscopy patient.
• Sets up and prepares required Endoscope and equipment for the day.
• Assist with cannulation
• Administration of Drug/Sedation (SN only)
• Assist endoscopist during procedure and ensure patient’s safety throughout procedure.
• Participating in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment, ensuring an agreed standard of decontamination at all times including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.

Qualification / Work Experience Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing, at least 2 years of Endoscopy experience.
• Competent in monitoring patient with sedation
• Skilled to perform cannulation and venepuncture
• Proficient in using and handling endoscopic equipment (OGD / Colonoscope / Cystoscope)
• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, techniques, symptoms and complications of endoscopy, anaesthesia or sedation and consequent nursing interventions
• Competent in using washer reprocessor for disinfecting and reprocessing of Endoscope

• Adaptable and willing to learn new skills
• Ablility to showcase good problem solving and critical thinking

Basic Salary / Working Hours / Annual Leave:

• Salary range: $3000 and above, depends on working experience relevant to job scope
• Work week: 5.5-day work (Sunday and PH off), occasional overnight duty (additional overnight allowance, overnight pay or time claim)
• Annual Leave: 18-21 days
