Job Summary

Assist Staff Nurses in delivering quality nursing care and maintaining a safe, clean environment for residents in a nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care following approved nursing practice standards to ensure resident well-being
• Assist Staff Nurses in assessing and orienting new admissions to the nursing home
• Conduct nursing rounds alongside Staff Nurses to monitor resident health and needs
• Support Staff Nurses in handling medications to residents accurately and timely
• Act as first responder in emergencies by initiating appropriate actions and alerting Staff Nurses
• Arrange and coordinate resident participation in prescribed therapies and medical check-ups, including transport logistics
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of all nursing care provided
• Supervise junior care staff to ensure residents’ comfort and personal hygiene are maintained
• Oversee junior staff in monitoring and recording residents’ vital signs regularly
• Guide junior staff in safely transferring and positioning non-ambulant residents to prevent injury
• Assist junior staff in serving diets and feeding residents as needed
• Perform additional duties assigned by Staff Nurses or Nurse Managers to support nursing operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Enrolled with Singapore Nursing Board
• ITE Certificate in Nursing
• Ability to work shift schedules including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing (if foreign trained)
