Job Description - Head, Property & Housekeeping

Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the Club’s property, facilities, and housekeeping functions. The role ensures that all Club assets, buildings, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, cleanliness, and presentation while supporting operational excellence and member satisfaction. The incumbent will drive continuous improvement, innovation, sustainability initiatives, and capital development projects to enhance operational efficiency, asset value, and the overall Club experience. Additionally, the role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, effective resource management, and the development of a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and enhancement of Club buildings, facilities, infrastructure, and assets to ensure safety, functionality, and operational efficiency
  • Direct and manage housekeeping services to achieve high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all Club premises
  • Lead renovation, upgrading, and development projects to improve facility quality and member experience
  • Drive continuous improvement, sustainability, and innovation initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and asset value
  • Manage departmental budgets, procurement processes, contracts, and vendor performance to optimize resource use and cost efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, health, and environmental regulations to maintain legal and operational standards
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the Property and Housekeeping teams to build a high-performing workforce
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align property and housekeeping operations with the Club’s strategic objectives and enhance member satisfaction

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Club Management, Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in housekeeping, facilities, property maintenance, or hospitality operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial position
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, building maintenance, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in budgeting, inventory control, manpower planning, and vendor management
  • Good leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Certifications in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), Fire Safety, Facilities Management, & housekeeping operations
