Job Description - Health & Safety Manager (APAC)

Are you passionate about driving Health & Safety excellence across diverse APAC markets?

Join as a Health & Safety Manager (Specialist) based in the Singapore Hub supporting multiple APAC offices while driving implementation of global frameworks, ensuring compliance, and enabling a proactive safety culture.

Note: Relocation assistance is not supported for this position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support and inspire employees within Singapore Hub and other APAC offices to live the Health & Safety vision.

  • Support people leaders and employees in Health & Safety-related matters.

  • Collaborate with your colleagues in the global Health & Safety team and, in particular, with team members in EMEA, AMS and China

  • Leading the implementation and maintenance of global Health & Safety frameworks, processes, and campaigns at a local level. These include but are not limited to:

    • Ensure compliance with local legislation and the LEGO group internal standards

    • Risk Management: Supporting the completion of risk assessments to identify potential issues, develop solutions and implement control measures.

    • Incident Management: Acting as an Incident Handler by supporting the reporting and investigation of injuries, near misses, and safety observations and by knowledge sharing (KSRs) across the LEGO Group, as required.

    • Educational Health & Safety Campaigns: Supporting the design and delivery of Health & Safety Campaigns and Training locally.

    • Health & Safety Monitoring: Undertaking local Health & Safety site visits, inspections, and audits as necessary.

    • Advising and consulting with local stakeholders (inc. local LT teams, WEX (Workplace Experience), PPC (People, Places & Culture), Office Managers/Coordinators, etc.) on the Health & Safety agenda for their locations.

    • Establish and maintain the local Health & Safety committee in hub and Health & Safety forum in offices.

    • Supporting Workplace Experience in the design and construction of new or the refurbishment of existing Hubs and Offices

    • Supporting the local Leadership teams, when relevant, in setting the Health & Safety strategic direction

    • Participating and/or leading in global Health & Safety projects to drive continuous improvement and to support global alignment.

    • Participating in global Health & Safety meetings to promote global alignment and to support the development of Global Health & Safety Standards for the LEGO Group.

The focus of this role is driving the Health & Safety agenda, implement and maintain company health and safety policies and adhere to local regulations in the APAC markets.


In collaboration with employees and senior management, this role is responsible for educating employees on Health & Safety policies, procedures and regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, ensure any necessary records are prepared and maintained according to established guidelines and identify and assist to remedy hazardous workplace conditions.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum 5 years practical experience with Health and Safety standards and procedures preferably working as a Health and Safety Manager or senior Health and Safety consultant in administrative areas in an international company

  • Relevant higher education within the Health & Safety area

  • Experience of supporting Health and Safety in an office environment and working with a structured Health and Safety management system

  • Experience of influencing and engaging with all levels of stakeholders, with the ability to consult and influence stakeholders outside of functional domain in partner relationships

  • The ability to work unsupervised and via remote leadership, with the ability to handle a variety of concurrent projects, reacting appropriately to changing priorities

  • Experience and proven track record on driving and managing changes, with focus on delivering results

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and coaching skills

  • Excellent communication both written and verbally, with experience of developing and delivering presentations

  • Good understanding of local and international ISO 45001 standard
