Healthcare Assistant (Kidney Dialysis Centre)

Job Scope

• Maintain standards of patient care while working with our nursing team to provide patient care support
• Adherence to principles and practice of infection control, health and safety
• Assisting in the inventory management of stocks and consumables.

Main responsibilities

• Preparation of the dialysis machine.
• Removal of medical consumables items from the dialysis machine.
• Perform machine, dialysis chair, and patient environment external disinfection.
• Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and in good working order, and report any defects to the in-charge.
• Assisting with stock management, e.g., adequate, correct, and appropriate stocks.
• Assisting patients pre- and post-treatment if needed e.g., assist patient out and into the wheelchair, assist to take the weight, etc.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the treatment and non-treatment areas.
• Perform proper floor mopping, waste management, and patients’ toilets cleaning in the absence of the cleaner.
• Any other tasks or duties that are assigned to you

Education / Training / Experience

• Minimum Secondary Education with Certificate in Healthcare Support
• Preferably with experience in dialysis setting
• Candidates with no relevant experience will also be considered.
• Training will be provided for those without renal experience.
