Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technologist, Cell Processing Laboratory

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital currently has a vacancy for a Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technologist. You will be an enthusiastic member of the Cell Processing Laboratory team, and be responsible for the production, processing and various quality control testing of cell therapy products in a prompt, accurate, reliable and efficient manner. You will also provide scientific and technical input to the daily operations, process improvement, management, and development of the Cell Processing Laboratory. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Essential basic requirements:

A good degree (BSc or MSc) in Transfusion Science or Haematology or Biomedical Science.

Ability and willingness to work outside of normal working hours where required, including overnight, weekends, public holidays, and on-call standbys.

Desirable requirements:

Experience of working in a hospital-based Blood or Tissue Bank or clinical Haematology Laboratory.

Experience in quality assurance for the testing of clinical specimens.
