Pathology Associate (Singapore Hospital) #HAL

To provide various anatomic pathology services under the direction and supervision of a Pathologist.

Job responsibilities

• Gross examination and dissection of anatomic pathology specimens
• Prepare tissue for numerous pathological tests including frozen section, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical staining.
• Photo gross specimens
• Provide fresh tissue to tissue repository and research projects
• Assist pathology residents in grossing specimens
• Assist in specimen accessioning, cassette printing, specimen handling and fixation prior to grossing
• Assist in specimen storage/ disposal
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Participate in Quality Assurance / Process Improvement activities.
• Any other duties as required by the laboratory

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery or related field
• Experience in grossing pathology specimens
