Perm Staff Nurse ( Endoscopy ) #HYT

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including obtaining medical history, explaining the procedure, and addressing patient concerns.
• Assist gastroenterologists and surgeons during endoscopic procedures by providing necessary instruments, medications, and equipment.
• Monitor patients throughout the procedure, assessing vital signs, anesthesia levels (if applicable), and patient comfort.
• Manage patient responses to procedural interventions and medications, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about the procedure, post-procedural care, and potential complications.
• Maintain a sterile procedural environment by adhering to infection control protocols, including instrument sterilization and equipment setup.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments and interventions.
• Document patient information, procedure details, and nursing care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Nursing
• Valid SNB
• Prior Endoscopy experience preferred
