Are you passionate about plant biotechnology and molecular research? We are looking for a meticulous and driven Plant Biotechnologist to support cutting-edge research projects in gene editing, plant transformation, and molecular biology. Key Responsibilities

• Execute plant biotechnology research protocols with accuracy and consistency.
• Perform plant tissue culture, molecular biology, and gene editing laboratory procedures.
• Support the development, optimisation, and adaptation of transformation and gene editing workflows.
• Prepare, process, and organise samples for sequencing and downstream analysis.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in accordance with research requirements.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring compliance with laboratory safety standards.
• Assist with laboratory upkeep, including inventory management, reagent preparation, and maintenance of shared equipment and workspaces.
• Collaborate closely with research scientists and project teams, providing updates on experimental progress and highlighting any technical challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and research methodologies.
• Perform other laboratory-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Plant Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
• Hands-on experience in plant biotechnology, plant tissue culture, or molecular biology laboratory techniques.
• Strong laboratory skills, including pipetting, solution preparation, documentation, and experimental execution.
• Familiarity with molecular biology equipment such as PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis systems, centrifuges, fluorescent microscopes, or biolistic particle delivery systems will be advantageous.
• Able to interpret, follow, and optimise laboratory protocols while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple experiments and priorities simultaneously.
• Meticulous, analytical, and committed to producing high-quality research outcomes.
