RECLAMATION WORKER

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and responsible Reclamation Worker to support workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance at project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, monitoring compliance with WSH requirements, coordinating safety training, maintaining safety documentation & reporting, and assisting in daily safety and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

1) Conduct Workplace Inspections 

· Carry out regular safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

· Recommend corrective and preventive actions.

2) Monitor Compliance 

· Ensure compliance with WSH legislation, company safety procedures, and project requirements.

3) Risk Management 

· Assist in conducting Risk Assessments (RA). Ensure control measures are implemented and maintained.

· Review and update risk assessments when necessary.

4) Safety Training and Briefing 

· Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety induction / orientations.

· Promote safety awareness among employees and subcontractors.

5) Incident Reporting and Investigation 

· Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.

· Assist in investigations and recommend preventive measures.

6) Permit-to-Work (PTW) Monitoring 

· Verify that work permits are properly issued and complied with.

· Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, hot works, and confined space work.

7) Emergency Preparedness 

· Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

· Ensure emergency equipment is available and maintained.

8) Safety Documentation 

· Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training & emergency drill records, and incident reports.

· Prepare and submit safety reports to management.

9) Promote Safety Culture 

· Encourage workers to report hazards and near misses.

· Support safety campaigns and workplace safety initiatives.

10) Liaise with Relevant Parties 

· Coordinate with management, supervisors, subcontractors, and safety personnel on WSH matters.

· Assist during safety audits and inspections by clients or authorities.

11) Assist in filing of safety related documents and preparation of signage's including lamination of the safety signages.

12) Preparation of Workman injury compensation claim letters and submit to insurance company

13) Get quotations, compare price and order safety related materials from various suppliers.

14) Make records of meeting schedules & appointments & reminds concern site staff of such schedules.

15) Arrange the staff and crews for relevant safety courses.

16) Handling, storage, safekeeping, transmission & loaning of quality documents.

17) Take & prepare meeting minutes for all weekly coordination & monthly WSH Committee meetings.

18) Prepare master lists of quality records; establish system of filing, indexing, and distribution of external and internal document.

19) Keeping tracks of all controlled and uncontrolled quality documents.

20) Establish and maintain the Document Control Centre at project site.

21) Prepare documents and participate in safety audit.

22) To issue PPE to all relevant personnel and maintain PPE issuance record properly.

23) Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Director.

Requirements

· Bachelor degree or above

· Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (in Singapore)

· Environmental Control Officer

· Confined Space Safety Assessor

· Risk Management (level 2)

· Min. 5 years relevant experience in Reclamation project

· Independent, good communication skills

· Driving (Class 3 license)

· Have knowledge in Quality and Safety Management System
