Roles & Responsibilities
· Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical and traumatic conditions.
· Perform initial stabilisation and resuscitation of critically ill or injured patients, with timely escalation to specialists.
· Order, interpret and act on investigations including blood tests, imaging and ECGs.
· Perform emergency and minor procedures - wound management, suturing, splinting, IV access and advanced airway support.
· Explain diagnoses, investigation results, treatment plans and discharge instructions clearly to patients and families.
· Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including medical records, referrals and discharge summaries.
· Support coverage across 24-hour departmental operations.
· Provide medical support to hospital wards and other areas as necessary.
Requirements
· Basic medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
· Minimum PGY3 Medical Officer with experience in Emergency Departments, anaesthesia or ICU.
· Commitment to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays, and to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
