Safety Coordinator

Eigen is a systems integrator for solar energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with technical competencies in engineering and construction, energy management, software engineering and cross platform integration. 

As a safety Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel, equipment, and facilities related to Eigen Energy's operations. You will work closely with the safety department and various teams within the organization to develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs. Your role will involve conducting inspections, risk assessments, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Ensure project site safety compliance and continuous improvement by implementing and coordinating safety awareness training/programmers/initiatives  

• Liaise closely with site staff and Project Managers on all safety and health issues  

• Follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy and procedures, conduct regular WSH inspection and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance  

• Assist, coordinate, and document safety meetings 

• Liaise and coordinate with MOM on all matters relating to EHS and its requirements  

• Prepare safe work procedures in the workplace   

• Assisting Safety Officer in incident/workplace investigations and corrective action recommendations  

• In charge of safety documentation and control  

• Conduct necessary risk assessment  

• Ensuring Environmental, safety, and Health practices are carried out at all times  

• Conduct safety inductions and orientations. 

• Contribute suggestions to mitigate reoccurrences of incidents and accidents. 

• Monitor effectiveness of implemented improvement actions. 

• Follow Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) when responding to emergency situations. 

• Monitor effectiveness of implemented improvement actions 

Requirements  

• Must possess Safety Coordinator Certificate & Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health  

• A diploma or degree in related field may apply  

• At least 1 years roof working experience is required for this position 

• Possesses Manage Work at Height & other safety certificates is an added advantage
