School Nurse (Office hrs) - Up to $4K #HTJ

Job scope:

• First Aid & Triage: Assessing and treating sudden illnesses and injuries (e.g., lacerations, fractures, sports injuries).
• Emergency Response: Administering CPR/AED and coordinating emergency medical services (such as hospital transfers) and notifying parents.
• Clinic Operations: Maintaining a fully stocked sickbay, managing clinical waste, and ensuring medical equipment is compliant with safety standards. 
• Action Plans: Developing and reviewing individualized healthcare plans for students with severe allergies, anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes, and epilepsy.
• Medication Administration: Safely securing, dispensing, and logging prescriptive and daily medications. 
• Health Screenings: Conducting routine vision, hearing, and growth/development screenings.
• Infectious Disease Management: Monitoring and managing outbreaks (e.g., Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease), enforcing quarantine policies, and reporting clusters to local authorities (such as the Ministry of Health).
• Immunization Tracking: Ensuring student vaccination records meet local and international school entry requirements. 
• Health Education: Assisting with health promotion initiatives and advising staff organizing local or overseas student camps.
• Mental Health Support: Providing first-line counseling, assessing emotional distress, and referring "students at risk" to the school’s pastoral or counseling teams.
• Child Safeguarding: Adhering to strict child protection and safeguarding policies, and serving as a health and safety advocate for the school community.

Requirements:

• Valid SNB and BCLS
• Prior experience as a school nurse
