Keep the client in the fight. You are there to assess the physical damage, relieve muscle tension, and optimize their mobility so they can perform at their peak and recover faster.
Assess the Damage: Evaluate clients' physical condition, posture, and mobility limits before initiating any treatment. Find out where it hurts and why.
Execute the Treatment: Administer targeted physical therapies. This means sports massage, deep tissue work, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.
Formulate Recovery Plans: Don't just fix them temporarily. Advise clients on stretches, functional movements, and recovery tactics to keep them from breaking down again.
Coordinate with the Team: Work alongside other specialists—like chiropractors or physiotherapists—to ensure the client's overall treatment strategy is aligned.
Maintain the Workspace: Keep the treatment room sterile, organized, and prepped for the next appointment. Ensure all equipment is ready to go.
Track the Progress: Maintain accurate, confidential records of the client's condition, the treatments applied, and how their body responded.
Valid certification or diploma in sports massage therapy, functional wellness, or a related field.
Solid understanding of human anatomy, kinesiology, and the mechanics of movement.
The physical stamina to handle back-to-back manual therapy sessions without losing grip strength or focus.
Clear communication. You need to listen to their pain points and clearly explain how you are going to fix them.
