Staff Nurse (Novena)

Job Scope / Key Responsibilities 

1. Clinical Nursing Duties 

-Conduct pre-screening patient preparation and assessments 

-Independently perform nursing procedures including but not limited to: 

-Vital signs and clinical parameters 

-Visual acuity, Tonometry, Retinal Photography 

-Electrocardiogram 

-Wound dressing 

-Spirometry 

-Stress Treadmill Test 

-Ultrasound Bone Density 

-Ultrasound Carotid Intima Media Thickness 

-Phlebotomy 

-Vaccinations 

-Intravenous Cannulation 

-Intravenous Infusion 

2. Patient Care 

• Manage assigned patients independently during screening process Identify critical clinical conditions and relevant action / escalation protocol: Abnormal vital signs (hypotension, tachycardia, etc) 

-Abnormal biomarkers (elevated tumour markers, high potassium, 

etc) 

-Abnormal ECGs 

-Collapsed patient (BCLS AED) 

-Competency in nurse counselling: 

-Patient reviews / chronic disease management / Lifestyle counselling 

-Injection Technique like GLP1-Receptor Agonists 

-Inhaler Technique 

-Vaccinations / Travel vaccinations 

3. Clinic / Health Screening Operations 

-Teamwork: Work closely with doctors, fellow nurses, and operations staff to maintain efficiency of clinic operations and smooth patient flow 

-Ensure safe and comfortable patient experience throughout procedures 

-Participate in onsite and offsite corporate health screening events (as needed basis) 

4. Documentation/Electronic Medical Records (EMR) 

-Accurately record patient data, vitals, and nursing notes Ensure completeness and accuracy of EMR entries 

-Support preparation of screening documentation and reports 

5. Equipment & Inventory Handling 

-Use and maintain clinical equipment properly 

-Monitor consumables and report shortages / expiry of equipment Ensure proper infection control and equipment hygiene 

6. Compliance & Safety 

-Adhere strictly to SOPS, MOH guidelines, and infection control standards Ensure patient safety during all procedures 

-Maintain confidentiality of patient information (PDPA compliance) 

7. Professional Standards 

-Upgrades with relevant courses 

-Maintains SNB Accreditation standards and CPE points
