VET NURSE

Island Veterinary Clinic is a modern small animal practice dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care with compassion, professionalism, and teamwork. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about animal welfare and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist veterinarians during consultations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries.

* Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after anaesthesia.

* Provide nursing care for hospitalised patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments.

* Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic tests.

* Dispense medications and maintain accurate medical records.

* Prepare surgical instruments and ensure strict aseptic protocols.

* Educate clients on medication administration, post-operative care, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment.

* Support the reception team when required and contribute to smooth daily clinic operations.

Requirements

* Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Veterinary Nursing or Animal Health.

* Minimum 2 years of veterinary nursing experience in a small animal clinic.

* Competent in patient handling, anaesthesia monitoring, hospital nursing, and surgical assistance.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

* Willing to work rotating weekends and public holidays.

* Experience with laboratory equipment and diagnostic imaging is an advantage.

* Fresh graduates with outstanding clinical placement experience may also be considered.
