Job Summary

You will ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental health regulations by leading risk assessments, safety and environmental control programs, and site inspections to maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, its subsidiary legislation, and the Environmental Public Health Act in all site operations
• Organize and lead risk assessments for all critical activities before work commencement to identify and mitigate hazards
• Develop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures as outlined in the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and Safety Management System
• Plan and conduct safety activities and campaigns to promote a culture of safety among all site personnel
• Inspect work sites regularly to identify and rectify unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices promptly
• Convene and facilitate Safety Committee Meetings regularly to review safety performance and address concerns
• Prepare, update, and maintain comprehensive site safety records monthly or as required by management and authorities
• Maintain good housekeeping and adequate security measures consistently across all sites
• Ensure all machinery and plant equipment are maintained in good working order and operated by competent personnel
• Provide and enforce the diligent use of suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) for all workers and personnel on site
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all equipment, machinery, and worker registers
• Report any fatal or major accidents immediately to Head Office and relevant authorities
• Prepare and submit Site Environmental Control Programmes to relevant authorities prior to work commencement
• Organize environmental health campaigns, training courses, and activities to engage workers in maintaining high environmental standards
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify that environmental health facilities and equipment are functioning properly
• Identify and control disease-bearing vectors and rodents on site to prevent health hazards
• Manage proper disposal of solid waste to comply with environmental regulations
• Control noise, air, and water pollution to minimize environmental impact
• Ensure proper drainage control and general housekeeping to maintain site cleanliness and safety
• Oversee food hygiene standards in the site canteen to safeguard worker health
• Prepare and submit monthly Site Environmental Control Reports to relevant authorities
• Perform any other duties as instructed by management
