Assistant Restaurant Kitchen Supervisor (Japanese)

Job Summary

You will support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality Japanese cuisine while working closely with senior chefs. This role offers hands-on culinary experience and opportunities to develop your skills and grow within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Support the Chef de Partie in maintaining food quality, consistency, and kitchen efficiency.
• Assist with food preparation across different kitchen stations and develop culinary skills.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and portion control standards at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ingredient storage.
• Support the kitchen team during peak service periods and contribute to smooth operations.

Required Competencies and Certifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen, preferably as a Demi Chef or equivalent.
• Min 1-2 years of Kitchen/Food & Beverage experience.
• Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.

Working Location & Hours

Location: VivoCity / Cross Street (Telok Ayer)

Work Schedule:

• 6-day work week
• Rotating shifts (9:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• 44 hours per week
