Bus Captain

• Safe Operations: Safely operate a Class 4 heavy passenger bus along designated public or charter routes in compliance with Singapore traffic laws.

• Punctuality & Scheduling: Adhere to strict departure times, arrival schedules, and time intervals set by the Bus Operations Control Centre.

• Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct routine safety checks on the vehicle's mechanical components, braking systems, and tires before leaving the depot.

• Commuter Relations: Greet passengers politely, assist commuters with special mobility needs, and ensure everyone taps their fare cards correctly.

• Incident Reporting: Promptly report any mechanical faults, traffic disruptions, or road accidents using the fleet management system.

• Cleanliness: Maintain the basic interior tidiness and hygiene standards of the assigned vehicle.

Job Requirements

• Licensing: Must possess a valid Singapore Class 4 Driving License and a valid Bus Driver's Vocational License (BDVL) or an Omnibus Driver’s Vocational License (ODVL).

• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles or buses in urban road environments.

• Driving Record: A clean driving record with zero major traffic violations or major demerit points.

• Physical Fitness: Must pass the required regulatory medical examinations to ensure fitness for long hours of sitting, spatial awareness, and shift work.

• Adaptability: Open to working on a rostered shift schedule, which includes early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
