Job Description - Customer Success Specialist (Japanese-Speaking) – Mobile Gaming

Monthly Salary: UP to $5000 (Negotiable)

Working Address: North Bridge Road

Our client is seeking a Customer Success / VIP Player Support Specialist (Japanese-Speaking) to serve as the dedicated bridge between the game and its most valued players. 

The role will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of approximately 150 Japanese-speaking VIP players, building long-term relationships, gathering and organising player feedback, resolving issues, and working closely with internal teams to deliver a premium player experience. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for VIP players: listen actively, respond professionally, and ensure players feel valued and supported.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships by understanding player needs and engaging in ongoing conversations.

  • Monitor VIP player engagement and proactively reach out around major updates or new feature launches to gather insights.

  • Collect, organise, and relay player feedback to product, operations, and community teams so it can be turned into actionable improvements.

  • Handle sensitive or escalated conversations calmly and professionally, driving issues through to resolution.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese (minimum JLPT N2 or equivalent) to support Japanese-speaking VIP players, as the role involves professional written and verbal communication with this player group.

  • Proficiency in English to collaborate with internal stakeholders and prepare reports.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous for engaging regional players and stakeholders but is not required.

  • Interest in gaming, with the ability to quickly learn and understand new game titles. Familiarity with strategy (SLG) games is advantageous but not essential.

  • Experience in customer relations, customer success, account management, community management, client servicing, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles is advantageous.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and coordination skills.

  • Diploma, degree, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
