The Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Principality Stadium cleaning department. The role will be responsible for supervision of the cleaning staff to ensure that all tasks are delivered to a high standard and to the required schedule. The role holds the responsibility for monitoring the cleaning staff to ensure that the correct methods are being used and that Health and Safety requirements are being observed. Key Relationships • Facilities and Safety Manager • Contract Cleaners • Wider Stadium Operations Team (Maintenance, Event Management, Pitch, Security) Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities • Supervise and support team of in-house cleaning staff. • Provide support and guidance regarding safe operation of machinery, cleaning standards and general health and safety practices including issue of PPE and lone working. • Provide reactive and proactive cleaning services throughout the venue. • Work alongside management team to determine appropriate timescales for large scale cleaning projects and scheduled general cleaning tasks. • Ensure efficacy of products and machinery to maintain high, consistent standards. Ensure adequate supplies of stock are maintained and allocated totheir respective areas. • Ensure team of cleaners are communicated with effectively in relation to venue updates, events, personal development and welfare. • Bring any matters of concern to the management team. • Arrange suitable rotation of staff to ensure skills are enhanced and resilience is provided. • Support Facilities and Safety Manager in identifying training opportunities, industry best practice and provide additional feedback during performance review periods. • Ensure team welfare is of a high standard including break facilities, rotation of staff where appropriate, kit isin good order and suitable for the task. • Provide suitable feedback on staffing requirements for major events. • Allocation of team on event day, ensuring adequate communication plan is in place, cover is provided and matters of welfare are identified and resolved.
