Executive Search Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Onyx is a boutique executive search firm specializing in mid- to senior-level appointments across professional functions and industries. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious individual to join our team as an Executive Search Consultant.

This opportunity is suitable for both aspiring recruiters with a background in sales or business development and experienced recruitment consultants seeking greater autonomy over their desk.

The Opportunity

You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle while developing a specialization based on your strengths, interests and market knowledge. Rather than being restricted to a predetermined desk, you will have the autonomy to identify opportunities and build your own area of expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and developing new client relationships through business development activities
• Building an understanding of your chosen market and advising clients on their hiring needs
• Managing searches from job briefing and talent mapping through to offer acceptance
• Sourcing, interviewing and assessing candidates for mid- to senior-level appointments
• Developing long-term relationships with clients and candidates
• Managing offer negotiations and supporting both parties throughout the hiring process
• Taking ownership of your individual targets and contributing to the growth of the firm

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma or degree in any discipline
• Prior experience in recruitment, sales or business development is advantageous but not essential
• Strong interest in building relationships and developing new business
• Confidence in communicating with professionals at different seniority levels
• Self-motivated and comfortable working towards individual targets
• Resilient, proactive and willing to take ownership of results
• Able to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team
