Job Description - HR Executive (Construction/ Central area)

Responsibilities:

HR Planning:

  • Collaborate closely with managers and supervisors to understand the specific needs and challenges of individual teams regarding skills and resources.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the team structure to offer support and guidance during periods of organizational and personnel changes.
  • Focus on enhancing productivity to drive business profitability.

Recruitment:

  • Implement effective strategies for recruitment and selection.
  • Develop innovative and creative approaches to identify potential candidate pools.
  • Work with managers to ensure suitable internal or external candidates are recruited for specific positions.
  • Establish a clear pathway for internal recruitment and promotion.
  • Facilitate internal communication regarding vacancies and appointments.
  • Maintain records of potential candidates for future reference.

Onboarding:

HR Systems:

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including updates to employment agreements, documented salary reviews, promotions, and updated position descriptions.
  • Maintain personal file records of employee skills and training.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation, including right to work and visa validity.
  • Monitor time and attendance records, identifying any concerns at the individual or team level.

Employee Development:


Learning & Development:

  • Work with the team manager and Head of Department to conduct an annual training needs analysis.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training programs.Implement company-wide learning and development initiatives focused on leadership development, effective management practices, communication excellence, and teamwork.

Management Support:

  • Support and foster a management culture of accountability and performance.
  • Ensure position descriptions and standard operating procedures are consistently in place.
  • Ensure managers complete annual performance appraisals for all employees.
  • Manage formal and informal employee feedback systems.
  • Assist managers in addressing and resolving productivity and team performance concerns.
  • Promptly communicate any potential serious grievances to appropriate management and ensure adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Actively promote safe work practices and compliance with designated policies.

Disciplinary & Termination:

  • Ensure consistent and fair application of the Code of Conduct policies and processes.
  • Address formal disciplinary issues and manage terminations as necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Utilize external resources, candidate interviews, employee surveys, and exit interviews to maintain a clear understanding of market remuneration aligned with employee capabilities and role requirements.
  • Ensure managers have a thorough understanding of market remuneration relevant to their teams.
  • Privacy and Data Security:
  • Maintain the security of all personnel, payroll, and other files at all times.• Uphold complete confidentiality and data security.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a comprehensive range of Human Resources functions.
  • Proven experience as an HR Executive or in a similar HR leadership role.
