Job Description - HR Manager (HRBP)

The HR Manager, Business Partnering serves as a strategic HR partner to assigned Functional Departments while leading a team of HR Business Partners. The role is responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives, delivering effective HR solutions, and driving workforce initiatives that support organizational performance. In addition, the role provides leadership on complex people matters and champions continuous improvement across HR processes and practices.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Workforce Planning & Talent Management: Develop and implement workforce planning strategies in partnership with business leaders, Project Directors and Talent Acquisition to ensure optimal staffing levels, effective manpower deployment, timely project mobilization and efficient workforce utilization.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement and organizational culture by implementing company-wide HR policies, programmes and initiatives while ensuring consistent communication and execution across assigned business units.
  • Employee Relations &HR Compliance: Manage employee relations matters, including performance improvement, disciplinary actions, investigations, grievances and conflict resolution, while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practices.
  • Organizational Development: Partner with business leaders to identify organizational capability gaps and recommend appropriate learning, development and organizational effectiveness initiatives to strengthen workforce capability.
  • HRBP Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of HR Business Partners to deliver consistent and high-quality HR support across assigned Functional Departments.
  • HR Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, provide business insights and recommend improvements to HR strategies, workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Lead or support organizational restructuring, business transformation, HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes, service delivery and employee experience.
  • Cross-Functional HR Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Payroll, Rewards and other HR functions to ensure seamless, timely and effective delivery of HR services across the organization.
  • Others: Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • At least with 10 years of relevant work experience as a HR Manager in Business Partnering function; preferably in construction, oil and gas or relevant sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing a team of at least 2 direct reports.
  • Able to navigate and overcome complexities within the organization to secure real buy-in and support from the business units on HR initiatives, policies and processes.
  • Able to partner and support people managers in achieving business's goals and to attract, develop and retain key talents.
  • Able to review and drive efficiency and consistency of HR processes across the Company.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with HRIS Systems (e.g. Workday).
