Payroll Executive – Payroll Verification & Support 

Reports To: Project Manager / Payroll Senior Executive 

Employment: Full-time employee of VionData Partners – deployed on-site at Client 

Contract Assignment: Up to 4 years (2-year firm + 2-year option).

Role Overview 

The Payroll Executive provides maker-checker verification support for payroll processing, handles bank rejections, overpayment recovery, and staff queries. 

Key Responsibilities 

Maker-Checker Verification: 

• Verify payroll data against supporting documents 

• Ensure data correctly interfaces from Workday to Excelity 

• Perform pre-payroll validation checks 

• Reconcile exclusion listing (staff withheld from payroll) 

Payroll Support: 

• Dispatch hardcopy final payslips to resigned staff 

• Check bank rejects on payment day and notifyClient 

• Trigger failed bank GL interface back into Workday 

• Process CPF shortfall/refund cases 

Overpayment Recovery: 

• Perform recoveries of overpayment to resignees 

• Issue recovery emails/letters (initial + 2 reminders at 15-day intervals) 

Staff Queries: 

• Notify staff of CPF shortfall/refund cases 

• Attend to payroll-related queries (3 working days response) 

• Provide data for payroll surveys 

System Support: 

• Involve in UAT for payroll system changes 

• Prepare payroll announcements for staff 

Annual Workload: 

• Payroll runs: 36+ per year 

• Bank reconciliation: Monthly 

• CPF cases: Ongoing 

• Staff queries: Regular 
  

Requirements 

Experience: 

• Minimum 2 year of relevant experience in Payroll 

• Singapore public sector experience preferred 

• Familiarity with both Workday and Excelity preferred 

• Experience with other payroll systems (e.g., Times HR, SAP Payroll) is an advantage 

Qualifications: 

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field 

Skills: 

• Understanding of local payroll regulations (CPF, IRAS) 

• Proficiency in Excelity and Workday 

• Good Excel skills 

• Meticulous with attention to detail 

• Strong communication skills 

• Ability to handle confidential information 

Other Requirements: 

• Available for on-site work at Client premises 

• Flexible for overtime during peak periods.
  
  

Compensation Package - Monthly Basic Salary 

Amount (SGD) $4600 – $8600
