Software Engineering Lead

We are seeking a hands-on Technology Lead with strong full-stack engineering expertise to drive the design, development, and enhancement of our mobile and web applications.

This role will play a critical part in strengthening our digital capabilities, bringing deep technical expertise, and elevating engineering standards across the application stack.

1. Full-Stack Engineering Leadership

• Lead end-to-end development across frontend, backend, and mobile application layers
• Drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance applications
• Contribute hands-on to coding, architecture, and technical problem-solving

2. Mobile & Web Application Enhancement

• Enhance and modernize existing mobile and web applications to improve performance, scalability, and user experience
• Apply best practices in responsive design, API integration, and cross-platform development
• Ensure alignment with business requirements and digital product roadmap

3. Technical Expertise & Solution Design

• Provide deep technical expertise in system design, architecture, and engineering patterns
• Review and guide technical decisions to ensure robust, maintainable, and secure solutions
• Identify opportunities to optimize performance and reduce technical debt

4. Engineering Excellence & Delivery

• Enforce engineering best practices across development lifecycle (coding standards, testing, CI/CD, DevOps) 
• Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews, testing practices, and automation
• Drive adoption of modern development frameworks and tools

5. Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, platform, and infrastructure
• Mentor engineers and contribute to capability uplift within the team
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• At least 12 years experience with minimum 5 years of experience in Mobile App building and maintenance
• Strong hands-on experience in full-stack development (frontend + backend + APIs)
• Experience building and scaling mobile and web applications - customer facing application experience is mandatory
• Proficiency in modern application frameworks and languages (e.g., ReactNative, ReactJS, Java, Python, MySQL, Redis, Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, monitoring)
• Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making capabilities
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with reporting, visualization, and data analytic software packages
• Working knowledge of common wealth management platforms available in market
• Proficiency with Project tracking tools like JIRA, Oneview etc.
• Good in MS Office tools
• Familiarity with MS Visio
