About the team

Our Global Markets team has advised on transactions ranked among the market's most complex, high-profile and high-value. Our team provides clients with real-time execution capabilities on the ground in the region's major commercial centres, and are supported by a fully integrated global network, enabling us to support our clients across multiple jurisdictions and wherever they chose to do business.

Main tasks

• Conducting day to day responsibility for more straightforward matters and assisting on more complex matters with Partner and Senior Associate support.
• Applying specialist legal knowledge and interpersonal skills to work with the team and our clients on a wide range of complex finance transactions.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation for complex structured financial transactions.
• Confidently and effectively negotiate with counterparts.
• Liaising with all parties to manage matter completion and post-closing work.
• Identifying key legal and transactional issues and being able to discuss and solve for them with the team and the client.
• Effectively communicating with clients and the team to understand their needs and how best to meet them.
• Understanding the way our business, competitors and clients are developing and work with the businessdevelopment team to use this information to develop business opportunities.
• Contribute to professional development and know-how and participate in training where appropriate.

About you

• Finance lawyer with at least 1 year of experience in general finance, securitisation, structured finance or debt capital markets.
• England & Wales or Singapore qualification.
• Strong technical skills in relation to finance law.
• Good attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Client facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs.
• A commercial approach and an ability to negotiate effectively.
• A collaborative attitude to working within large teams and with colleagues at all levels.
• The ability to be team-focused and to also work independently.
• A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service, and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
• The willingness to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.
