About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic lawyer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our Banking & Finance team, based in Singapore.

The team in Singapore advises on a wide range of financing transactions under English, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australian law.  Whilst the role will involve working across a variety of loan finance transactions, including acquisition finance, fund finance, Holdco financings and distressed investments we are looking specifically for a lawyer with infrastructure and/or project finance experience as we execute our sector strategy of focussing on digital infrastructure throughout the region.  The role will provide the opportunity to work closely with our market leading digital and tech practice in Singapore as well as with our teams across Australia.

Applicant Criteria for the Position:

The successful candidate will possess:

• A recognised legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction, paired with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm.

• Proven familiarity with, and experience advising on, banking and finance transactions, particularly in relation to project and infrastructure finance.

• Robust understanding of corporate and commercial transactions and projects, particularly in relation to financing and restructuring.

• Superior drafting, analytical, communication, and research capabilities that contribute to precision in legal deliverables.

• Highly commercial and practical, with the ability to focus on issues that truly matter to our clients.

• A client-service driven mindset with the ability to cultivate and sustain strong client relationships.

• Collaborative spirit and adeptness to forge enabling internal professional relationships within a global setting.

• Innovative enthusiasm for business development activities, including client presentations and relations management.

• An agile approach, adaptable to diverse legal challenges and task executions.

• Effective project management skills facilitating the delivery of multiple and concurrent transactions and assignments.

• Experience coordinating and managing local counsel across the APAC region on transactions and projects.

• Experience using AI tools in the delivery of legal services.
