Curia Regis is a professional regulatory compliance services firm dedicated to assisting regulated Financial Institutions in Singapore with their initial and ongoing regulatory obligations under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated, driven, and results-oriented Compliance Consultant to join our dynamic Singapore team.
Role Overview:
As a Compliance Consultant, you will be based in our Singapore office at The Arcade and will play a key role in supporting regulated clients across capital markets and payment services sectors. You will work closely with internal Operations and Compliance teams, as well as directly with clients, to deliver practical, high-quality regulatory compliance solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience navigating complex regulatory requirements and the ability to interpret regulatory provisions and translate them into effective, commercially practical advice within the Singapore regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide active support to the Operations and Compliance teams, including the preparation and review of regulatory compliance documentation
Engage regularly with regulated entities as clients, providing ongoing regulatory and compliance advisory support
Assist in conducting AML/CFT screening, including the identification and resolution of false positives
Support the preparation and submission of MAS regulatory reports, returns, notifications, and surveys
Assist with and oversee regulatory licence applications and related regulatory processes
Maintain professional working relationships with regulators and industry stakeholders
Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy in line with regulatory requirements
Identify, review, and correct data entry errors, including duplication and inconsistencies
Generate regulatory reports, summaries, and internal management information
Support data migration initiatives and testing relating to regulatory and financial reporting automation
Perform ad-hoc duties as required
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong comprehension of regulatory language and regulatory requirements
Experience dealing with compliance matters relating to Capital Markets Services and Payment Services entities in Singapore
Meticulous and detail-oriented work approach
Ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate complex regulatory information clearly and concisely
Familiarity with financial statement preparation and analysis
High proficiency in using AI, as well as Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional attributes that would be a plus point:
Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow within a regulatory compliance environment
Positive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to speak Mandarin fluently is an advantage
Prior experience in regulatory compliance within a fund administrator, licensed fund manager, or regulatory compliance consultancy will be considered a significant plus.
