Junior Legal Counsel

About our client
A MAS-licensed Major Payment Institution operating at the intersection of cross-border payments, stablecoin infrastructure, and digital asset services — is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join their growing Singapore team.

This is a hands-on in-house role where you'll work directly with Product, Compliance, and Business teams across payments, OTC, custody, and wealth-related products.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements across customer, partner, vendor, custody, and technology arrangements
• Provide legal and regulatory support on Singapore financial services matters (PSA, SFA, MAS notices)
• Support product launches, partner onboarding, and governance documentation
• Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal resources
• Use AI tools in legal drafting and review workflows — and help improve them

What we're looking for

• 2–5 PQE, qualified in Singapore, Hong Kong, or another common law jurisdiction
• Background in banking & finance or capital markets (from private practice or in-house)
• Experience in payments, fintech, or digital assets is a plus — genuine curiosity about the space is a must
• Strong contract drafting skills and commercial judgment — you give answers, not just options
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
