Legal Counsel – Construction Law

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure legal compliance and protect company interests.
• Advise on legal structures, including joint ventures and SPVs, and address cross-border legal and regulatory matters.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and project-related legal risks.
• Support licensing, permits, and regulatory approval processes.
• Manage contract disputes, claims, arbitrations, and litigation.
• Provide legal advice and training to internal stakeholders on contractual and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with project, finance, procurement, and external legal counsel to ensure effective contract management.
• Maintain legal documentation and strengthen governance through policies and procedures.
• Support ad hoc legal and project-related assignments as required.

Requirements:

• LLB from a recognized university.
• 10+ years of legal experience in private practice and/or in-house, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore construction law, regulations, and compliance.
• Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, risk management, and commercial legal advisory.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
