Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and provide legal advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial documents, including but not limited to Sale and Purchase Agreements, Lease Agreements, Financing Documents, Commercial Contracts, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Letters of Offer, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other legal documentation.
• Provide legal and commercial support to business units across the organisation, with a focus on contract management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, constitutions, marketing materials, and other legal matters.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and ensure business operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate and manage external legal counsel to ensure timely, practical, and cost-effective legal support.
• Collaborate closely with regional business units to support cross-border legal and commercial matters.
• Maintain and enhance the company's enterprise risk management framework by reviewing risk policies, conducting risk assessments, monitoring risk mitigation measures, and maintaining the corporate risk register.
• Prepare, review, and update legal templates, policies, and internal governance documents as required.
• Read and review documents in Chinese and communicate effectively in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Candidate with 1-2 years experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel with relevant construction law related.
