Air Cargo Planning Manager

A leading provider of logistics and transportation solutions in the region is , urgently, inviting keen individual to join its team as a Planning Manager

Job Responsibilities :

• Plan full/partial charters for capital equipment of all cargo dimensions/shapes/weight
• Provide aircraft loading plan to respective airlines, revise and amend where required for final approval from airline loadmaster
• Plan ULD packaging materials according to loading requirement
• Provide cargo load plan and work with warehouse operations to build up actual cargo
• Continuous training to freight management team to be able to perform load plan for odd sized capital equipment
• Continuous training to warehouse operations to execute load plan on actual cargo, physical dims may come in different, the know-how to build up actual cargo is key as well
• Ensure cargo planning is at its optimum payable load to maximise yield and minimize procured cost from airline
• Work closely with customer service to be ready for multiple changes to the load plan due to client changes
• Coordinate with customer service/warehouse team to ensure timely schedule shipment for uplift.            
• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities on actual cargo loading when physical dimensions are different from the packing list
• Compile discrepancies, good house keeping of data to ensure proper feedback and improvement between shipper and the company

Requirements:

• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong time management skills, good collaboration and teamwork abilities
• 5 years’ experience within the same industries / field
