Assistant Production Manager

Production Management

• Assist the Production Manager in managing daily production activities.
• Work on production planning, and ensure production schedules are achieved according to delivery timelines and customer requirements.
• Monitor production output, yield, costing, machine utilization, wastage, and downtime.
• Coordinate with warehouse, QA and logistics teams to support production flow.

Production Operations

• Expertise in meat processing and manufacturing of meat products
• Ability to manage and participate in day-to-day production operations in a hands-on manner.
• Research and develop new products, complete and implement processing specs on site. 
• Guide and train production operators on processing with skills and organize the production teams to achieve efficiency and accuracy.

Quality & Food Safety

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, SFA, GMP, ISO 22000, and company food safety standards.
• Monitor product quality, consistency, weight control, and packaging standards.
• Ensure hygiene and sanitation procedures are strictly followed.
• Support internal audits, external audits, and customer inspections.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.

Team Management

• Supervise production supervisors, line leaders, and production operators.
• Conduct staff training on SOPs, food hygiene, workplace safety, and operational procedures.
• Assist in manpower planning, attendance monitoring, and shift scheduling.
• Maintain discipline and productivity within the production team.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
• Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams on stock availability.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate production documentation and reporting.

Workplace Safety

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.
• Promote safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
• Report and investigate workplace incidents when necessary.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or meat processing industry.
• Candidate must be operationally hands-on and able to work closely with production teams
• Experience with automated food processing equipment will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SFA, and food safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Able to work in afast-paced manufacturing environment.
