Job Description - Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development activities to expand the company's ISO Tank logistics business across the SEA region, in line with agreed annual revenue and volume growth targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and formulate go-to-market strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and market mapping.
  • Lead the end-to-end RFQ process, including pricing strategy, commercial proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and customer onboarding.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to support business planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with chemical manufacturers, traders, and key logistics partners across SEA.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings to strengthen market presence.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Operations, Commercial, and Finance departments to ensure seamless service delivery and financial alignment.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in international freight forwarding or logistics, with at least 2 years of experience in the chemical logistics or dangerous goods warehousing/transportation sector.
  • Proven business development or commercial experience within chemical logistics or ISO Tank solutions.
  • Existing customer network within the chemical logistics industry will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, tank container logistics, and dangerous goods transportation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing RFQs, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., in supply chain management or dangerous goods handling) are preferred.
