Chartering Executive (Dry Bulk)

Key Responsibilities

• Support chartering activities for Dry Bulk vessels, including spot fixtures and period charters.
• Monitor freight markets, vessel positions, cargo opportunities, and market trends to identify commercial opportunities.
• Liaise with shipowners, brokers, charterers, and operators regarding vessel employment and cargo requirements.
• Negotiate fixture terms and assist in preparing charter party agreements.
• Maintain daily vessel position lists and cargo tracking reports.
• Analyze market intelligence and provide recommendations to support commercial decisions.
• Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth post-fixture execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders and business partners.
• Support management in business development and commercial growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Dry Bulk chartering, vessel operations, shipbroking, or commercial shipping.
• Understanding of Dry Bulk freight markets, charter party terms, and vessel operations.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling Supramax, Ultramax, Panamax, Kamsarmax, or Capesize vessels.
• Exposure to voyage calculations, freight analysis, and market intelligence.
• Established network within the Dry Bulk shipping community.
